How to Upgrade Windows 10 Home to Pro
Firstly ensure your virus software is temporally disabled during the upgrade process.
Now download and install any Windows 10 updates before preceding.
Upgrade to Windows 10 Pro or Enterprise Using an Existing Product Key
Once you have your Windows 10 key ready select System.
Select About then Change product key or upgrade your edition of Windows.
Click Yes if User Account Control comes up.
Enter your product key for the edition you are upgrading to, whether it is Pro or Enterprise. Then wait while the product key verified.
Make sure all open applications are closed and your work is saved then start the upgrade. Wait while the upgrade process kicks off. Your computer will be restarted several times throughout this process.
The amount of time the upgrade takes will vary between systems. But in my experience, it only took 5 to 10 minutes.
That’s it! Close out of the upgrade complete verification screen and start using your new edition of Windows.

Option 2:
After the installation media is created, suggest you to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from the installation media. When the upgrade asks for product key, enter the product key purchased for Windows 10 Pro. If it does not accept, suggest you to skip the activation step. After the Operating System is installed, suggest you to activate by phone by following the steps below:
- Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
- Select the Region from the list and click Next.
- Call the Free number provided on top and activate via phone.
Option 3:
Upgrade to Windows 10 Pro using the following default product key:
VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T
After upgrading, proceed to enter the Windows 10 Pro key you got.
Click Start > Settings > Update & security > Activation > Change the product key
Enter the product key, close then restart your computer, it should reactivate automatically.
